Rosalie Neilson is the author of three design books on Kumihimo: The Thirty-Seven Interlacements of Hira Kara Gumi, The Twenty-Four Interlacements of Edo Yatsu Gumi, and Kongō Gumi: A Cacophony of Spots – Coils – Zags – Lines. She wrote An Exaltation of Blocks, a book on symmetric block design with chapters highlighting 8-shaft structures of Huck Lace, Summer and Winter, and Warp-faced Rep. She has written articles for Shuttle, Spindle and Dyepot; Handwoven; Strands; A Journal for Weavers, Spinners and Dyers; and Weavers. She has a video on Rep Weave published by Interweave Press (now Long Thread Media). Her work appears in Handwoven’s Master Weaver Collection and the anthology Best of Weavers Series “Thick and Thin”. She teaches workshops in Rep and Kumihimo, both online and in person at Guilds and Conferences in the United States, Canada and England. Her woven work is represented by Freed Gallery in Lincoln City, Oregon.
